Because for once, I'm not the one who cares more for others

When did birthdays become so jaded?
Is it me or the celebration of another year of age?
I lost all sense of joy in celebrating birthdays.

What with all the cakes, the supposedly birthday surprise, the greetings, the birthday dinner, the supposedly heart-stopping, tear-jerker presents.

(Can I be more of a birthday grinch? Heh)

I came across an article years ago that said something like
'There will come a time where you should stop expecting people to buy you presents for your birthday. That time is at the age of 12'

So I guess I understand that.
I mean, I sometimes got so frustrated when people don't remember my birthday when i do theirs.
After a while, i don't see the point in grudging over it.
So I move on.

But then I admit, even if it seems petty, it will always be flattering to know that people remember your birthday.
And buy you presents.
Or simply greet.

And i respect that.
Because i can never be thoughtful like that.

Birthdays are so fussy.
Buying presents is so fussy.
Expressing heart-felt wish is fussy.
You have to put a lot of thought into it yknow.

You have to put up a lot that I always end up with nothing.

And for that, I always roll with the phrase of 'it's the thought that counts'


Cheap.
I know.


I guess i don't really know how to express my thought in a form of things. Or words.

i was so depressed knowing how people making me as just their second choice.

i dont know why this is such a big deal

but it hurts...so bad.

I am just no good to anyone.

I dont even meet up to any one's expectation.

and now we come to today!

i said something to my friend

and she went like "sudah kana buang baru tah aku kana guna..."

and thats when it hit me;

why did i even bother myself, going mad, for i am just an option to everyone or

how they are making me as their second choice,

when i just did the same thing to another person?

even if it was just absent-mindedly.

it makes you think, right?
